Silk, Marvel’s Latest Asian-American Superhero

On February 18, Cindy Moon who goes by the secret identity Silk became the second female, Asian-American hero to headline her own Marvel comic book series “Silk.” She follows the groundbreaking Muslim, Pakistani-American teenager Kamala Khan of the “Ms. Marvel” series that debuted last year. Cindy joined the Spider-verse a few months ago after getting bit by a radioactive spider and then spending 10 years locked in a bunker.

The comic book world is noticeably becoming more diverse and inclusive – that’s pretty damn cool.

SILK #1 is available in stores now.
